A lovely plant to start the new Season
Introducing Osmanthus delavayi.
This beautiful plant has masses of scented, white, jasmine-like flowers that appear on arching branches in mid and late spring among glossy, dark grey-green leaves with finely serrated edges. This evergreen shrub usually retains a more compact and rounded bushy shape. To enjoy the fragrant flowers, plant near an entrance or well-used path. It prefers semi-shade or full sun in free draining soil. Height and spread 3m.
Why not come down to Wykeham Gardens this weekend and take a look. We have some that have just been delivered and are covered in bud, just waiting to flower once this cold snap has passed. They will make a great start to Spring for any garden.
