Caragana pendula

Caragana pendula

This small weeping tree is ideal for small gardens or confined positions and makes a very attractive feature tree.  The feathery foliage is bright and airy and in May interspersed with clear yellow, pea-like scented flowers that are popular with bees. It is extremely tough and able to grow in challenging positions including poor soils, semi shade and has good drought tolerance once established. It can be trimmed but usually the elegant, heavily pendulous branches will reach the ground.

Prefers full sun or semi-shade and a free draining soil.
